Information we collect

When you contact us, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, business name, requested service, project description, and correspondence. For current form submissions, we also record the submission time and the version of the form notice, Website Terms, and Privacy Policy associated with the submission. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card information, or other sensitive personal information through the inquiry form.

We may research publicly available business information, including business names, websites, public business contact details, locations, and the sources where we found them. Our private records can include research notes and whether a business has been contacted, so we can avoid duplicate contact and honor requests not to be contacted.

Our hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and security events. The inquiry form uses a daily hash derived from an IP address to limit abuse. Those rate-limit records expire after about 24 hours and are removed during scheduled cleanup.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, discuss and deliver services, maintain business records, research potential business opportunities, prevent abuse, secure the website, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use this site for targeted advertising.

AI assistance and your choices

We use AI-assisted tools as part of our normal workflow where permitted by law, including reviewing business inquiries, preparing response drafts, and researching public business information. For inquiries submitted under the current form notice, your business name, requested service, and project description may be processed by our AI service providers to assist our review and response. Your name and email are not sent as separate contact fields, but information you include in the project description may be processed.

Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, sensitive personal information, or confidential client records in the inquiry form. If your project requires that information, contact us first to arrange appropriate handling. Agreement to general website terms does not replace any specific consent, authorization, or other safeguards required by applicable law.

Prefer no AI assistance? Email hello@rivetwebco.com before submitting project details and wait for us to confirm the arrangement. You can also request a change after submitting. Once we record a no-AI request for your email address, automated inquiry drafting is disabled for existing and future inquiries from that address. Tell us about any other email addresses or project materials the request should cover. We confirm the scope of non-AI project work separately in writing.

We honor requests and applicable privacy rights within the periods required by law. A request cannot undo processing that has already happened; processing already underway may finish before the request is recorded. Earlier inquiries retain the AI choice made under the form used at the time. We do not turn an earlier decline into permission by changing this policy.

Research findings and response drafts need human review. The website does not automatically send those drafts or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

When information is shared

Information is processed by service providers that support hosting, storage, security, email, and AI assistance, as needed for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections. These services may process information in the United States or other countries.

Cookies and external websites

We do not currently use advertising cookies or audience analytics on this website. Our security and access services may use necessary cookies, particularly for the private admin area. Portfolio links lead to separate websites whose privacy policies govern their own services.

Retention and security

We retain inquiry, project, correspondence, and research records for as long as needed for their business purposes, legal requirements, and resolving disputes. There is no automatic deletion timer for those records. We retain no-AI preferences as needed to honor them. You can request deletion or ask us to stop contacting you.

We restrict access to private business records and use technical safeguards, including encrypted connections and protected administrative access. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee complete security.

Your choices and requests

Email hello@rivetwebco.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; request no-AI handling or withdraw consent where applicable; or ask us not to contact your business. We may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records.

Privacy rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. We will respond as required by applicable law, explain any request we cannot fulfill, and tell you how to ask us to reconsider. You may reply to that explanation to appeal a decision where an appeal right applies.

Children and policy changes

This website offers business services and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information here, contact us so we can address it. We may update this policy as our services change; the date above identifies the latest revision.
